Shipping

Orders are normally sent within 2-3 business days. Estimated shipping time within the EU is 3-7 days, for orders outside EU estimated shipping time is 5-15 days. Orders will be shipped to the address given at check out. For EU customers shipping is included in the price. For customers outside the EU there are three shipping categories based on the width of the dhurrie.

We only use shipping methods that are traceable with tracking number. For orders within the EU we us TNT, shipments outside EU are most commonly shipped with TNT or UPS. Oyyo are not responsible for Customs / Duties and/or Taxes incurred on orders shipped outside of the EU.

Delivery times and out of stock items

All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor and sent for shipment as soon as possible, if your requested dhurrie is in stock it will ship within 2-3 business days. If the dhurrie requested is not in stock we will notify you via email with an approximate date for shipping. Out of stock items will normally be delivery within 4-8 weeks. Large sizes and bespoke items can in some cases take up to 20 weeks depending on size.

Manufacturing variations

Oyyo´s dhurries are individually handmade and hand woven items and as such they are subject to variations. Our dhurries are uniquely made from organic cotton, linen, and vivid vegetable dyes. Every effort is made to ensure there is minimal colour and size variation however some variation can be expected, which are not considered manufacturing faults:

Size – Being a hand made article, the size can vary by +/- 2-8cm from the size ordered.

Colour – Our dhurries are uniquely made from 100% organic cotton and vivid vegetable dyes. Every effort is made to ensure there is minimal colour variation however some variation can be expected. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight; there are no dyes that are absolutely constant or impervious to fading and over time any material left in strong sunlight will fade. Turn it around occasionally to equalize wear.

Indigo – All our blue and green colours are made from natural indigo and natural indigo is sensitive to ozone pollution. If the area where you live has high ozone pollution it can affect the blue and green colors and they may fade over time and turn a bit yellowish in tone. The yellow goes away with water wash, the fading of the colour stays. It is hard to estimate the time frame for fading since it depends on the ozone levels and the effect of the ozone will fluctuate with temperature and humidity.

Design & Construction – Minor variations may be evident, which is due to the fact that the dhurrie is handmade.

Warranty

The Company does not provide a warranty on the product, however manufacturing faults do occur and the product will be replaced if it does fall outside the manufacturing variations as noted above.

Care and wash instructions

Our handmade dhurries are woven with the utmost standards of quality and will give you decades of happy use if handled with care.

Vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the roots of the fibers.

Remove spills immediately to prevent stains from setting. Use a clean, untreated/unbleached cloth to firmly and carefully blot the spill until absorbed. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing as this may damage the colouration and fibers of your dhurrie.

Gently scrub dried residue with a soft brush and vacuum to remove any residue that is left.

Hand wash your dhurrie in warm water, at a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. Use a bleach-free pH-neutral liquid detergent and wash in soft water. Scrub gently, applying even pressure all over. Hang to dry in the shade. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Please note that hard water and powdered detergent will affect certain colours during washing.

For hard-to-remove stains and/or larger sized dhurries, we recommend professional cleaning, following our specifications.

Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight to prevent fading over time.

Reduce wear and fading by rotating your rug periodically.

Before storing, roll and wrap your dhurrie in cloth for protection. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.

While any fading is permanent, the yellow tone can be rinsed with a water wash.

Return policy and procedures

We value your satisfaction and we realize that it is sometimes necessary to return items due to size, color or other reasons. Below you can find our return and exchange policy:

Return for full refund: Items may be returned within 15 days upon receipt for a full refund. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Oyyo will gladly send a Return Merchandise Authorization upon request however, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange for shipment and pay the cost of such shipment. Please be aware that receipt of a full refund expires after 15 days of the customer receiving the item.

Exchange for store credit: Items may be exchanged within 15 days upon receipt. Items exchanged within this time period will be issued a credit for the value of the merchandise and can only be used for online dhurrie exchanges. Items may not be returned or exchanged after this period of 15 days for any reason.

We are sorry but bespoke sized dhurries are not refundable.

Damaged Items

Please note that all items must be returned in unused condition. We will not accept returns of used or soiled merchandise. However, we will gladly accept the return of any merchandise that may have been damaged during shipping. To return a damaged item please file your claim within 24 hours of receipt of the item by contacting Oyyo at returns@oyyo.se to notify us of the situation.

How to return merchandise

You MUST have a valid Return Authorization Number in order to return any merchandise. You can request a Return Authorization Number via email at returns@oyyo.se. After your return authorization has been approved and sent, you may ship the dhurrie back to Oyyo, Brännkyrkagatan 94, 117 26 Stockholm, Sweden. All shipments must be traceable via tracking number. Once we have received your merchandise back in unused condition, we will credit you in the original method of payment which can be verified, in most cases, within 3-5 business days.

Order cancellation policy

All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor and sent for shipment as soon as possible, if your requested dhurrie is in stock it will ship within 2-3 business days. If the dhurrie requested is not in stock we will notify you via email with a approximate shipping date. We understand that orders might need to be changed sometimes, we are unable to do it free of charge after a certain point. We strictly adhere to the following cancellation policy:

If you cancel your order before it has been shipped no extra cost will be issued.

If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, please follow our Refund/Exchange Policy. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return.
